In spring 2015 publicity began underway for the new series of Game of Thrones. Mallard Productions were commissioned by Streaming Tank to provide cameras, crew and vision mixing equipment for a publicity stunt for the new series, which will be shown on Sky Atlantic later in the year.
The concept was to build a mini Game of Thrones set and have a race between 5 eggs to see which would hatch first. Dubbed ‘Crack The Throne’, viewers were invited to tweet which egg they thought would be the first to hatch.
We provided four HD cameras, lighting rigs, vision and audio mixers and crew throughout the 7 day period that the stream was broadcast. We also cut together ‘highlights’ reels, VT’s, and played footage from the new series of Game of Thrones during the stream.
