Since 2021 Mallard Productions have been providing live multi-camera coverage of Morris Leslie’s Classic Vehicle Auctions.
Taking place up at Errol Airfield near Perth (Scotland), this is the only dedicated Classic Vehicle Auction in Scotland, attracting over 150 entries of Classic Vehicles, Motorbikes and Commercial Vehicles.
The livestream enables viewers to view the vehicles and bid online from across the world, with buyers from as far as Australia winning bids. The streams have amassed over half a million viewers.
We use eight cameras, strategically positioned to capture a variety of different angles as the vehicles drive through. We also use two cameras mounted to gimbals (with a transmitter) that allows us to move around the vehicles and go inside without snagging any cables. We mix in live graphics with audio from the auctioneers and the vehicle’s themselves. We also provide 4 high powered spot lights to light up the vehicles.
The streams are broadcast simultaneously on both Youtube and Facebook.
