Mallard Productions were invited by Highland Overland to film a promotional video for their Winter Campervan Launch.
Highland Overland are a camper van rental company that specialise in vehicle hire, and can be used for road trips across Scotland. We created a video of one of their vans travelling through the Scottish Highlands, whilst additionally collecting some stationary shots to highlight the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
The filming was conducted over the course of two days on the stunning west coast of the Scottish Highlands, following the route of the North Coast 500. Some of the locations visible within the video include Gruinard Island, Meall A’Chrasgaidh, Dundonnell River, Beinn Ghobhlach, and Creah Chorcurach. In post-production, we included titles of these locations to display the route the van followed.
The videos were shot using remote cameras that were fitted to our own vehicle and drones to capture the action of the cars whilst driving through the scenic Highlands. The video displayed the practicality of the van, highlighting its features and their functions. We also managed to capture some footage of the typical wildlife found in the Scottish Highlands, such as red deer and goats.
We have extensive experience working within this sector, and have previously worked with clients such as Volvo and Seeker UK, and have provided coverage for a variety of motorsport events.
