Shore Seaweed

We produced a suite of videos for Shore Seaweed, a Scottish brand dedicated to harvesting seaweed, our local and forgotten superfood. Shore have created an array of seaweed foods, ranging from their flavourful seaweed chips, to their expansive Sea Kitchen range, consisting of pestos, tapenades and ramen broths.

We created their main marketing video, several alternate films for social media of varying lengths and aspect ratios, and a dynamic animation showing off the variety of seaweed snacks.

For these series of videos, we provided a camera crew, drone footage and the models themselves. The footage was taken at a variety of locations, from Glasgow’s West End, to John O’Groats, where we captured the beautiful and rugged Wick coastline, located in Caithness. Composition, lighting, and filming when the tide was low were all essential to collecting the drone footage of this isolated landscape. We also made sure to include the famous John O’Groats Signpost to illustrate the origins of the seaweed itself.

One of the main benefits of Shore Seaweed is that it is great for the environment. It requires no land, fertilisers, or fresh water to grow, and even soaks up CO2 in the process. Environmental sustainability is an issue that is close to our heart, and we are always pleased to work for clients and projects that actively promote and consider sustainability within their practice.
