Mallard Productions were proud to provide crew and equipment for the finals of the Tri Nation Darts Scottish Open 2024 with the Scottish Darts Association, on behalf of our friends at 247. With over thirty-five thousand viewers online as well as a remarkable crowd in the Normandy Cosmopolitan Hotel, the Scottish Open showcased some of the talented darts players in the UK and beyond.
To capture every thrilling moment of the 18 matches, we vison mixed with four cameras and provided a livestream so spectators could watch the action across the world. We included live score graphics within the feed, ensuring that the audience always were kept up to date with the statistics. Included within the production was commentary and we provided a live monitor feed for the commentators.
Using split screen video content, the audience were able to enjoy seeing both the board and the players simultaneously. We also mixed together audio from the dart board mic, the commentary mic and the referee mic to enhance the viewer’s experience.
Darts is one of the fastest rising sports in recent years with a 40% increase in popularity over the last two months.
